I’ve been using the resort’s services for several months now, and until now I’d never canceled a reservation—until July 30, 2026, when I tried to cancel a reservation I’d made about a week earlier. I didn’t want to cancel the reservation because I didn’t feel like coming or because something came up; the reason was that, as a regular customer, I’m familiar with the resort and knew that the halls aren’t air-conditioned, and the temperature was expected to reach over 35 degrees that day. I called as early as 8 a.m. and asked to RESCHEDULE the reservation for a cooler day, but I was immediately told that this wasn’t possible (the reservation was for 6 p.m.—I know there were less than 24 hours left) and that, in any case, I’d have to pay for the reservation. I figured, “Fine, it’ll be over 30 degrees, but we’ll play a bit anyway,” and off we went. It was over 40 degrees inside the hall; we played for a bit, then went over to the registration desk to cool off. One person felt faint, and two others got headaches. I believe that since the facility knows it won’t be able to provide comfortable—which is putting it mildly—any conditions for playing, such as setting up fans in the corners for that time, it should give customers the option to cancel, because as a place that’s supposed to help people stay fit and healthy, it shouldn’t put its customers’ health at risk. This time, the desire to make 200 zlotys won out over common sense, which is a bit disappointing—not to mention that, in my opinion, it put customers’ health at risk. I’m not writing this to bash anyone; every business owner sets the rules that work for them (the cancellation policy is clear to me), but there are days when one should set aside the rules or ensure decent conditions—I hope my opinion will contribute to better conditions on days like today and that someone will learn from this. Sometimes it’s better to forgo the chance to earn 200 zł in order to look out for customers’ well-being and maintain good relations; I’ve already recommended the resort to friends and coworkers. To sum up, until today I’d rated the facility 5 stars—it’s clean, well-maintained, and well-equipped; the ladies at the front desk are friendly and helpful; and the locker rooms and restrooms are fine. I’ll continue to be a regular customer because it’s in a good location and I’m generally satisfied. However, I’ll be paying much closer attention to the dates when I book courts. I expected it to be hot, but what I encountered there exceeded my expectations. The reason I wanted to cancel was that I had expected the conditions might not be comfortable, but they were actually hazardous to my health—and the center’s attitude—“You can’t play here, but you can’t cancel or reschedule your reservation”—is a shame.
