Very good
The courts have clearly improved in quality recently. A big plus goes to the installation of additional lighting—finally, this makes playing much more comfortable; unfortunately, the dome doesn’t let any light through. The renovation of the court surfaces also deserves praise, as it has finally brought the facility up to a decent standard, and playing on them is much better than before. Unfortunately, a few basic technical issues remain. The dome still leaks in places and is damp; the ventilation is poor; and there is no doormat at the court exit, making it easy to track clay onto the floor. The court clocks also do not work or are missing, which makes it difficult to keep track of playing time. Additionally, the courts lack ball retrieval tubes, which are standard equipment at many tennis facilities. In summary: progress and basic investments in the facility are evident, which is a plus. However, if the aforementioned practical issues can be resolved, it will be truly worthwhile.

I used to come here regularly—first with friends, chasing balls, bragging rights and questionable line calls. Later on, I returned in a new role: proud dad, watching my son discover the very same courts and wondering when I suddenly became the one sitting on the bench 😄 Klub Tenisowy Stegny still has that familiar mix of prestige and calm confidence. The courts were great back then and they still are—proper clay in summer, and in winter the bubbles and halls mean you can play without feeling like you’ve signed up for Polar survival training. Comfort very much appreciated, especially by ageing knees. It’s a well-kept, organised tennis complex where everything simply works. Courts are tidy, lighting does its job, and the whole place runs with that reassuring efficiency that lets you focus on tennis rather than logistics (a rare luxury). What I like most is how timeless Stegny feels. It’s one of those places where generations naturally overlap—friends, parents, kids, juniors and veterans all sharing the same space, just moving at very different speeds. Some sprint, some glide… some carefully negotiate each step. It’s good to see that this club continues to hold its level. Some places change too much, others freeze in time—Stegny has found the sweet spot. And that’s why we keep coming back 🎾
